Distance vs. Displacement

Distance is from going to one point to another on a graph or on just in general when you are walking or running or going anywhere. Displacement is the difference from one point to another point on a graph or in general once again. One thing I saw in class was on the time line when we went from one point to another and. when we counted the distance from 0 to the next #.

Barbie Bungee Data Estimates

I think barbies distance for 10 rubber bands would be close to 130 cm and for 20 rubber bands close to 165 cm and for 30 rubber bands close to 200 cm or more. I got these numbers by looking at my lab sheet from today and seeing that if you add 10 and 20 and 30 rubber bands to the 8 we already had these are close to the numbers that came out.

Metric Units

I think that we use metric in science class because they are a lot easier to use and there are not as many so they ate easier to remember.
1. A cup
2. Milk
3. Juice

Estimating Distances

I estimated that the length of the front of my house is 32 feet. I did this by measureing my rip-stick and remembering where I placed it so I could keep doing that the whole way. I think this is a reasonable estimate because my house is pretty big and so is guess for what the length of my house is.

Reaction time

Reaction time is when someone or something does something and how long it takes you to react to what is going on.

1. Im my own life i have expericed that I tend to go slower when I am worried about something and when something bad is going on.

2. Also I tend to do things faster when i think something  is gonna happen and when I am aware of what is happening in life and with my family.

3. I tend to do things differently and it depends on what I am doing and what people are doing around me and how I am feeling with things.
